Filter once, at the source. Instead of a filter on one tap, Aquaridge treats all water as it enters the home, in three stages.
What's coming through your pipes?
Melbourne's mains water is treated and safe to drink. Between the treatment plant and your tap it travels a long way, and the chlorine that keeps it safe in the network is something most people would rather not taste, smell, or shower in.
- Sediment and rust
- Silt, sand and rust particles from mains works and older pipes end up in household water, aerators and appliance inlets.
- Chlorine taste and smell
- The disinfectant that keeps water safe in the network is what you taste in a glass and smell in the shower.
- Ageing pipework
- Older streets and homes add discolouration, especially after supply interruptions or works in the street.
- Tank and mixed supply
- Homes on rainwater or switching between supplies benefit from consistent filtration at the inlet.
Three stages. One complete system.
Each stage catches something different, and each one protects the next. That is why cartridges last a full year and the water coming out is the same on day 300 as it was on day one.

Sediment
Catches the particles
A pleated 5 micron cartridge traps sand, silt, rust and other suspended particles before they reach the finer stages, so those cartridges last longer.
Stage 2
Carbon
Reduces chlorine taste and odour
Activated carbon reduces chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours, and the organic compounds that affect how water smells.
Stage 3
Carbon block
Polishes the water
A dense carbon block gives a final polish, so the water reaching every tap is clear and consistent, glass after glass.

Installation
A licensed plumber installs, pressure tests and certifies the system. Water is off for about an hour; the job takes two to three.

We remind you when cartridges are due and deliver or fit them. Care Plan members never think about it again.
